AS THE YEAR COMES TO AN END I AM SAD TO SAY THAT I WILL NO LONGER BE THE HEAD THEATRE DIRECTOR AT GHS. I HAVE ACCEPTED A POSITION IN LEANDER ISD WHICH WILL ALLOW ME TO BE CLOSER TO MY FAMILY. I APPRECIATE ALL OF THE LOVE AND SUPPORT I HAVE RECEIVED THESE PAST 2 YEARS. PLEASE CONTACT DEAN BAKER ([email protected]) or SARAH KUCZEK ([email protected]). THEY BOTH CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH INFO AND LET YOU KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE HIRED A NEW DIRECTOR. AS OF MAY 26TH THIS WEBSITE WILL NO LONGER BE USED TO COMMUNICATE GHS THEATRE EVENTS. THANKS-MAMA MORTON
I am very excited to be starting my 2nd year as the theatre director at GHS! This is my 9th year teaching. I spent my first 7 years as a director in Leander ISD and then joined the GISD team in 2015. I have also served as a Stage Manager at the UIL State OAP meet for the past 12 years. In 2008 I graduated from the University of Texas Austin with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies. During my time in college I had the opportunity to study and teach at many different arts camps and theatre programs including The Lyric in London (2007), Appel Farm Arts Camp in NJ (2007), and UT Connections (2005-2008). I have a passion for directing students and helping them discover their inner-performer while developing their imagination and public speaking skills. I will invest my time into your student to help bring out the best in them! Remember: "The Theatre is Magic...There is Magic in the Theatre!" |
